Originals Vinyl is always paying the best prices for records and we’ll come directly to you to buy them, anywhere in and around Los Angeles. We eliminate entirely the need to sell your records by lugging them into a shop or parting them out one at a time online. We’ll travel to your home, garage, storage unit or a convenient meeting place and do all the heavy lifting. We are reputable buyers coming from years of experience in our SF store and are happy to extend the same courtesy and service to sellers here in L.A.
WHAT WE BUY
We purchase most genres of music on LP, 45, 10” formats. In particular, we’re looking for Rock, Jazz, Soul, Blues, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Latin, Disco, Folk, Singles, Library Music, D.J. Collections, Old Store or Radio Station Stock and anything that’s strange or unusual. We buy collections both large and small. No collection is too big, although for smaller collections under 100 records, quality is an important factor in determining if we can make a house call. Typically we do not buy classical, opera, show-tunes, easy listening, etc. but it never hurts to give us a call to find out if you’ve got something we’re interested in.
WHAT WE PAY
We pay well and we come to you! In most cases, we can offer between 35% and 50% of the retail value for more common titles and between 50% and 70% for rarer titles in collector condition. We pay for each individual record in your collection instead of using the outdated model of offering one bulk price for the entire lot. The cleaner and rarer each record, the more we can pay. What we can’t purchase, we can tell you what to do with it or we’ll take it away and donate it for you. For truly special collections we offer consignment services, selling your collection both online and in-store, earning you even more for your high-end titles.
HOW IT WORKS
First, give us a call or fill out the contact form below to give us some information about the records you want to sell (genres, artists, general condition, approximate quantity, etc.) and we can set up a house call. We are available to buy collections everyday so we can arrange a time that is convenient for you. Examples of LA areas we service are: Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, Highland Park, Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Hollywood, Gardena, Torrance, Inglewood, Culver City, Santa Monica, Calabasas, Pomona, Palmdale, Lancaster and more!

Record Cleaning by Appointment
Originals Vinyl is pleased to now offer its record cleaning service to vinyl enthusiasts in the Los Angeles area.
Enjoy the best sound from your LPs with an ultrasonic cleaning – the most advanced cleaning technology out there – while at the same time preserving the value of your collection. This service includes an 8 minute deep cleaning of each record, along with a new inner and outer sleeve. We also offer inner sleeve upgrades, or customers can provide ones of their choosing, as well as bulk discounts for those interested in cleaning a lot of vinyl, or even their entire collection.
HOW IT WORKS
Originals Vinyl LA is currently offering its cleaning services as pick-up / drop-off only. We do not have a physical location to accept walk-in appointments.
Option #1 (you come to us): We can arrange a time and place to meet in Glendale to pick up / drop off your records.
Option #2 (we come to you): Appointments can be made for us to pick-up / drop-off in other areas in and around Los Angeles – however, a travel per diem fee applies depending on the distance.
Upon pick-up, we will take a video inventory of your LPs as well as issue a paper receipt for our services. We will bring your records back to our office for cleaning and drop them back to you within 3-5 days, depending on the amount, or at your earliest convenience. Customer provides payment upon pick up. $3.00 PER RECORD CLEANING / additional .50 cents for archival sleeve upgrade – 20 RECORD MINIMUM
